Our 5 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari tour to Uganda is perfect for clients who are eager to see primates. On this tour, you have a chance to trek with chimpanzees, game drive, and boat trip in Queen Elizabeth and encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

Day 1: Arrival and drive to Kibale National Park
Arrive before 13h00 Entebbe and meet our driver guide. We start the drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing tea plantations along the way. This diverse forest boasts 13 species of primates such as the red colobus monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. There are over 335 bird species in the park, including some which are rare and endemic to the Albertine region and varying tracts of the tropical forest. You will arrive in the late afternoon or evening and check in at your accommodation, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go for Chimpanzee tracking and enjoy a wonderful forest experience with these habituated chimpanzees. These engaging apes are closest to human beings and are great to watch being playful both on the ground and in the trees. In the afternoon, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is one of Uganda’s most popular parks, offering scenic game drives. It has a wide variety of wild animals and over 600 bird species, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savannah to wetlands and lowland forests. Have a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. Proceed to the lodge.

Day 3: Morning game drive and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early morning game drive. There are over 100 mammal species including lion, hippo, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, elephant, and the elusive giant forest hog in this park. You will also visit the salt lakes in Katwe before returning to the lodge. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the largest population of mountain gorillas and hosts a variety of spectacular birds including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including the Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon, and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening so that you are well-rested for a thrilling experience of gorilla tracking the next day. Proceed to the lodge for check-in.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will have an orientation and meet your guides for the day. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 7 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. The trekking is a thrill and yet challenging as you hike through the forest to the Gorillas and once you reach a gorilla family, you will have a chance to observe the family at close proximity for an hour.

Day 5: Drive to Entebbe airport and depart
Today you will have breakfast and then proceed for an 8-10 hours drive to Entebbe International airport and connect with your onward evening flight back home.
